Oman Gas Company (OGC), a subsidiary of Oman Oil Company (OOC), signed a partnership agreement with the Thai Gulf Energy Development to develop an independent power and water plant in Duqm, OOC said today on its twitter account.
“The project is a partnership between OOC’s subsidiaries where they will hold 55% and Gulf Energy Development’s subsidiary which will own 45%”, OOC said.
The new project is meant to support Oman’s new refinery and petrochemical complex located at Duqm Free Economic Zone.
According to OOC tweets on Thursday, the plant will be with a capacity of 326 MW and 1,667 cubic meter per hour water facility.
