MUSCAT (WAF): The total expenses of the oil, gas and electricity sectors in the Sultanate of Oman amounted to about 16 billion US dollars (6.15 billion Omani Rials) in 2019, of which 8.8 billion US dollars (RO3.38 billion) as capital expenses.
Data issued by the Omani Ministry of Oil and Gas showed that spending in the oil sector increased from $8.4 billion (RO3.2 billion) in 2018 to $ 8.9 billion (RO3.4 billion) in 2019.
While spending in the gas sector decreased from $ 3.3 billion (RO1.3 billion) in 2018 to $ 3.1 billion (RO1.2 billion) in 2019, and expenses in the electricity sector decreased from $ 4.2 billion (RO1.61 billion) in 2018 to 4.1 billion Dollar (RO1.58 billion) in 2019.
