Muscat (WAF): Oman Air and SalamAir –the two Omani Airliners- announced today the suspension of all their flights to Pakistan.

In the wake of escalated tensions between Pakistan and India, the Islamic Republic’s Authority for Civil Aviation closed its aerospace to all commercial flights. This led the Omani Airliners to subsequently suspend their flights to 5 Pakistani cities.

Oman Air said in its statement that it has suspended “its flights to Pakistan, namely Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore, until further notice”.

“Due to Pakistan Aerospace closure, we regret that SalamAir flights to Karachi, Multan and Sialkot will not be operated till further notice”, SalamAir statement said.
