MUSCAT (WAF)- A strategic partnership agreement was signed today to establish Oman’s third mobile operator, the Ministry of transport and communications (MoTC) said today in a post on its Twitter account.
MoTC said that the agreement is signed between Oman Future Telecommunications Company (OFT), and the UK-based Vodafone.
Oman News Agency reported that the agreement will be for 15 years, and will enable Vodafone to provide technical and operational support as well as the rights to use the brand name (Vodafone) in Oman
On his Twitter account, Dr. Ahmed al-Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications welcomed the new partnership under the name “Vodafone Oman”.
