MUSCAT (WAF)- Oman Aviation Group (OGA) has issued a statement denying media reports about Oman’s intention to set up a new regional airline to take over domestic operations from Oman Air.

“The Group is working on developing a promotional and investment programme called Oman Link which aims to promote and connect regional airports in the Sultanate,” state-owned OGA said on its Twitter account.

Yesterday, a news report by Reuters said that two sources informed the News Agency that “A request for proposal was issued this month by state entity Oman Aviation Group for a feasibility study into operating the new airline, ‘Oman Link’.”
