TRA allows VoIP exceptionally due to Corona

MUSCAT (WAF): The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of Oman has announced today allowing limited use of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) due to the exceptional circumstances resulted by the spread of Coronavirus.

TRA said that this measure is part of the government’s interest to facilitate business continuity and communication for government, private, and educational sector institutions. And it has been decided to allow the use of some internet communication applications including Skype for Business, Google Meet, and Zoom to be used “during this exceptional period”.
