MUSCAT (WAF): Oman’s 5G telecommunication networks in the northern coastline areas are still being affected by external radio interference, Oman’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) said in a statement.
TRA said that these interferences are impacting the performance of some of the stations in the governorates of al-Batinah North, al-Batinah South and Musandam.
“Following coordination with neighbouring countries, it appears that their 5G networks are also experiencing similar interferences at this time,” TRA added.
The Authority said that it is coordinating with regional parties and manufacturers to “find the appropriate solutions to stop these interferences”.
TRA first announced these technical disturbances in May, saying that it was working to “locate the source of the interference and stop it immediately”.
