MUSCAT (WAF): Oman Investment Authority (OIA) announced the dissolution of Oman Aviation Group and its subsidiary, Transom.

In a statement on Twitter, OIA said that as part of this “corrective measure” the operations on the aviation sector in Oman will go back to how it used to function before establishing these two entities. Oman Aviation Group was established in 2018, and Transom was formed in 2017.

As a result, Oman Air and Oman Airports will take over the two dissolved entities’ responsibilities and duties.

OIA’s statement, citing Sultan al-Habsi Chairman of OIA and the Minister of Finance, clarified that OAG and Transom’s employees will join Oman Air, Oman Airports, and other State-Owned Enterprises under OIA or other government entities based on the need and vacancies.
