Oman limits entry to nationals and residents

5 April 2021

MUSCAT (WAF)- Non-Omanis and non-residents of Oman will not be allowed to enter the Sultanate starting from 8 April 2021, Oman’s Corona-combating committee decided today.

Oman’s Supreme Committee dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic has also decided to take more strict measures to combat the virus’s spread in light of the increasing number of hospitalised Covid 19 cases.

The Committee’s new orders include extending the current closure of commercial activities overnight, while temporarily lifting the night curfew as of 8 April until the beginning of Ramadan.

During Ramadan, Oman will go back to night-curfew between 9 pm and 4 am throughout the month. And will continue banning social, cultural and sports gatherings.
